On planning, changing and growing

Do not plan your life expecting a change in another person. If the change need not happen, it will not happen; change is difficult - it always requires humbling oneself - and thus avoided at all costs. Growing is another thing; it is slow, and can only be assessed afterwards. Should you expect growth, see it before belief.
